Dating has become one of the most popular ways to meet new people, especially in today's digital age. But for some people, like myself, they don't believe in dating. That's right, I don't believe in dating.
Now, before you start thinking that I'm a lonely person who has never been in a relationship, let me assure you that's not the case. I've had my fair share of relationships in the past, but I've come to the realization that dating just isn't for me.
The idea of going on a date with someone you barely know and trying to impress them just doesn't sit well with me. I find it to be a superficial way of getting to know someone. Instead, I prefer to get to know someone through natural interactions and building a friendship first.
I also don't believe in the pressure that comes with dating. There's this expectation that you have to be on your best behavior and put on a show to impress the other person. It's exhausting and takes away from the authenticity of the relationship.
Furthermore, I don't believe in the idea of "finding the one" through dating. I think that love and relationships should happen organically, without the added pressure of trying to find someone to spend the rest of your life with.
Of course, this isn't to say that my way of thinking is for everyone. Some people thrive in the dating scene and enjoy the process of getting to know someone new. And that's perfectly fine.
But for me, I've found that building a friendship first and allowing a relationship to develop naturally has been a much more fulfilling way of finding love. So, while I don't believe in dating, I do believe in love and all the beautiful ways it can manifest.
